Moore is a widely respected entrepreneur and a strong supporter of start-up technology companies who has been instrumental in several very successful ventures. Moore was a seed-round investor and co-founder of Peregrine Semiconductor Corp., one of the world’s leading providers of radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for the wireless communications and aerospace markets. Peregrine ships millions of chips every week to cell phone manufacturers around the globe.
Moore was also a seed-round investor and founding CEO of Silicon Wave, Inc., now owned by Qualcomm. Silicon Wave produced the world’s first Bluetooth chips, a highly disruptive product in the wireless communications market. Moore also was a cofounder of e-Fire.com, a B2B e-commerce hub; TheSupply.com, a B2B e-commerce hub in the semiconductor space; and Optical River. Moore was founder of Firebird Aviation and MK-AAC, acquired by Berkeley International. The total amount of venture capital raised for Moore’s ventures exceeds $400 million.
Moore is a director and CEO of CommNexus San Diego, a nonprofit association that works to accelerate the formation, growth and success of communications technology and service companies through programs that provide access to capital, talent and business development. Moore is a U.S. Air Force veteran who received a BS degree from University of Michigan. His interests include angel investing, competition aerobatic flying, scuba diving and surfing.
Dr. Feld has been ranked by his peers as one of country’s top cardiac electrophysiologists in US News & World Report and other publications. He began development of a cardiovascular clinical research database, which then transitioned into a flexible, comprehensive patient information system for cardiovascular surgery that became Perminova EP, Perminova’s web-based patient information system used in electrophysiology (EP) labs.
Dr. Feld is Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego, and Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Program at the UCSD Medical Center. Perminova EP was developed in Dr. Feld’s EP lab. Dr. Feld’s clinical responsibilities include performing up to eight ablation procedures a week, as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantation procedures. He currently performs the largest number of ablations for atrial fibrillation in Southern California. Dr. Feld has pioneered several new treatments for cardiac arrhythmias, including catheter ablation of atrial flutter and AV node modification for atrial fibrillation. His current research includes optimizing techniques for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, and development of new energy sources for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Feld is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Therapeutics and an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Feld has participated in numerous studies and his research has been published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the American Journal of Cardiology. He received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School.
Kevin Hell is a technology industry leader with expertise in managing high-growth operations, launching innovative products and helping technology start-ups attract capital. Hell serves on the board of directors of CommNexus, a non-profit technology industry association in San Diego, and is the Chairman of EvoNexus, a CommNexus high-tech incubator for startups. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Sonic Solutions, a leading digital media company that helps connects consumers to their favorite Hollywood entertainment and personal media from anywhere.
Hell was formerly CEO and Board Member of DivX, Inc. During his eight-year tenure there, he transformed the company into a leader in the rapidly emerging digital video market, connecting high-quality Internet content with consumer electronics. Before joining DivX, Hell served as Senior Vice President of Product Management for Palm’s Solutions Group, where he managed the Palm-branded products and wireless services division worldwide. Prior to Palm, Hell was Vice President of the Connected Home for Gateway and was responsible for pioneering innovative digital home products beyond the PC.
He received an MBA in finance and management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS and BS in engineering from Stanford University.
Collins has extensive experience in healthcare technology, strategic planning, operations, finance and sales and marketing. He has served as a senior executive for Fortune 100 firms and high-growth technology start-ups. Collins has raised over $47 million in venture capital and was part of a management team that executed a highly successful IPO.
Prior to joining Perminova, Collins served as President and CEO, Board Member and Founder of PetriTech, Inc., an advanced materials technology company. Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing for a division of the $43 billion Cardinal Health, where he served as a key member of the division’s executive team, overseeing strategic alliances, business development, promotions and marketing communications.
Collins founded and helped launch SupplyPro, Inc., a venture-backed supply chain technology company that was a spin-off of Cardinal Health’s Pyxis Division. Collins served as Director of Marketing and Investor Relations for DAOU Systems, a computer systems integrator for the healthcare industry. While at DAOU Systems, Collins served on a management team that executed the 6th-highest-performing IPO of 1997. Collins is a longtime resident of San Diego and active in a number of business, community and charitable organizations. He holds an MBA and a BA in English from San Diego State University.
