Robert Cass
President and Chief Executive Officer

Robert is a successful entrepreneur, with a long history in the clinical and information technology fields and has extensive experience as a software developer. In 1994 he developed a highly successful electronic record management system for a 350 bed rehabilitation center and he was the chief architect and developer of CardioSure. He has held the positions of Nursing Informatics Lead and Clinical Information Systems Manager at the University of California San Diego. He received his Bachelors Degree in Nursing in 2001 from San Diego State University. Since that time, he has worked in a number of clinical settings, including various intensive care units, cardiac catheterization, cardiac electrophysiology, and outpatient surgical centers. This gives him a distinct advantage in understanding work flow and clinical requirements.


Gregory K. Feld, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Perminova Inc.

Professor of Medicine and Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology Program, University of California, San Diego. Dr. Feld is Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Program at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, California. Selected as a "Best Doctor in America" by Best Doctors, Inc., Dr. Feld is also a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Therapeutics and an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Feld has participated in numerous studies including: SAFIRE-D; RHYTHM ICD; and AFFIRM. His research has been published in Circulation, PACE, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the American Journal of Cardiology. He has designed several research databases and has been involved in the development of electronic medical record (EMR) systems. He has extensive contacts throughout the industry.


Carl Hartzel
Chief Operating Officer

With a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration and over 20 years of healthcare consulting and management experience, Carl is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive leader with a strong portfolio of successes orchestrating the start-up, growth, and optimization of diverse businesses within the healthcare platform. He has a broad range of product and industry knowledge encompassing medical technology, revenue cycle, process reengineering, electronic devices and software systems.


Scott Patridge
Chief Financial Officer

Scott has over 17 years combined experience in directing corporate finance and accounting; creating new venture start-up companies; raising private equity; investor communications and financial reporting; marketing, distribution, sales and sales management and has raised more than $18 million in private equity for various start-up companies. Scott was the founding VP of Finance of a profitable wireless media and consumer products firm (www.SkinIt.com). Skinit.com was named by the San Diego Business Journal in September 2008 to be one of the top 30 fastest growing privately held companies in San Diego, as well one of the top 50 highest in total revenue, and one of the top 50 largest employers. He oversaw the expansion of the company's financial growth from start-up to more than $5 million in revenue in less than two years and grew payroll from zero employees to more than 40 during the same period. In addition, he led the financial analysis and valuation of an investment in, and the ultimate acquisition of, a partner company. He successfully led the company through its first two annual "unqualified" GAAP audits, as well as multiple quarterly reviews. Scott has an MBA in Management and Master of Science in Finance, both from USC's Marshall School of Business.


Marc Rix
Vice President of Engineering

Marc is an award-winning thought leader in service-oriented architecture, business process management, and Web 2.0 technology, Marc has 15 years experience developing transformational web based software solutions for Fortune 500 clients. Previously a Chief Engineer with SAIC, he was responsible for 25% of the company's IT portfolio, established a global software engineering center of excellence, and revolutionized many of the company's mission critical web, integration, business intelligence, and performance management systems. Systems included BPM, SOA/Middleware, ETL, EDI/B2B, Document Management, Contract Management, Proposal Management, Business Intelligence, IT Service Catalog, Internet, and Intranet technology. Supported corporate functions include Finance, Business Development, Human Resources, Communications, Security, Risk Management, Travel, and IT. An early pioneer of agile development practices, Marc specializes in building highly efficient engineering teams and delivering game-changing technology quickly. Brian Powers
Director of Technical Alliances

Brian comes from Arrow Electronics, one of the largest technology distributors in the world, where he was an area sales manager and managed the relationship with NetApp and their channel partners in the West and Southwest regions, including responsibilities for B2B, credit, partner recruiting, partner enablement, sales ordering and configuring, and MDF allocation. Brian has spent the last 11 years in direct data storage and software sales, helped start a successful Value Added Reseller (VAR), and managed a channel that grossed over $50 million annually. Brian has a proven track record of building successful channel organizations, as well as a great deal of operational and contract management skills. Education: BA International Relations, University of San Diego.


Sean Corson
Director of Finance and Operations

Sean Corson has over seven years of experience in managing strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, managing asset and damage valuation cases, management and litigation consulting, corporate finance and accounting. His experience spans from small wireless media startup firms to mid-sized consulting firms to multinational, Fortune 500 companies in the wireless space. As Director of Finance and Operations for MetaBase, Sean has managed MetaBase's primary sales campaign and strategic offshore partnerships. Under this primary sales campaign, MetaBase has seen their client base grow over 600% in under three months. Prior to joining MetaBase, Sean worked in corporate finance at Qualcomm, Inc. In this role, Sean managed several potential acquisition projects as well as Qualcomm's long term valuation model, performing analysis that was presented to both the executive committee and the Board of Directors. These presentations and models were used in analyzing several business-critical decisions by the Board of Directors. Sean also has experience in litigation consulting for Freeman & Mills, providing asset and damage valuation expertise while managing small teams of one to three analysts. Sean has a (B.A.), Economics , from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and an (M.B.A.), Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson School of Management.
